Yoga means union in Sanskrit. Union leads to more acceptance, emotional intelligence, compassion, empathy, less anxiety and happiness. High school kids experience stress with over scheduled activities, academic pressure, body image and social acceptance. With the changes during puberty, yoga helps to appreciate the body for what it can do more than what it looks like, opening doors to compassion for oneself and for others. When practicing yoga regularly, teenagers are more focused, feel good about themselves, cultivate positive moods, live a happy life with open opportunities for academic and social success. Yoga helps the teenagers to connect with their deeper self, to be aware and understand their thoughts and emotions to better process them. Yoga offers a huge opportunity for kids to transition into adult life with full confidence, love and wisdom. What a beautiful gift for our teenagers!
