In yoga, asana is often defined as a physical posture. When asana is approached with awareness, stability and ease, the mind has no where to travel and takes a seat in the whole body. It consciously relaxes any tension or resistance in the body while maintaining a state of calmness. The yogi surrenders to the change of emotions, breath and body response and becomes the soul and the essence of the pose. Yoga is about realizing our full potential.
