Contentment

Mouna Chamariq | MAR 29, 2020

Have you heard the word equanimity? During a yoga class, have you heard your teacher saying keep a calm mind while gently guiding you into a challenging pose, Sarvangasana, Shoulder-stand Pose or Adho Mukha Svanasana, Downward-Facing Dog? Your body might not be at ease, rather in pain and your mind is just the opposite of calm, restless, impatient to change posture and come out from this feeling of discomfort. When you practice yoga with honesty and devotion, engaging all levels of your being, even the most challenging postures transcend the body, the physical level allowing you to experience a deep loving connection with yourself and others, developing the feelings of belonging, togetherness and wholeness.

Next time you are on your mat, practice with awareness and self-love, acceptance and appreciation, non-attachment and gratitude and allow space for inner peace to grow and contentment to expand. Contentment is an unlimited fountain of love that you already have, your essence, your authenticity. When you are aware that everything you need is within you, you need no more, you need no less, just who you are as a beautiful, grateful and complete human being, then contentment grows and expands within you.

When you are facing a challenging situation in life, remember to look inside for comfort, pure healing light, inner peace, true-self, authenticity and divine love. You are already all that. You have already all that. You are unshakable and glowing with generous feelings of contentment, equanimity and inner peace.

Gratitude 🙏🏻
