Non-resistance

Mouna Chamariq | APR 14, 2017

For the last six days, my daily practice allowed my journey to transition from I to self, witnessing and experiencing every present moment unfolding without resistance. The process of surrendering and letting go embraces change, relaxes and purifies the heart. Every morning, I start my day watching the sunrise followed by a walk in nature. I sit comfortably to practice pranayama in preparation for my mediation. In Sanskrit prana means life force, referred to the breath, and ayama means control, retain. Pranayama uses breathing techniques to intentionally control the breath to achieve specific results, strengthening the respiratory system, the digestive system and the cardiovascular system. Practicing awareness on the breathe develops a better concentration for meditation.
