Perseverance and Non-Attachment
Mouna Chamariq | JUL 2, 2018

The sage Patanjali explains in the yoga sutras, the fondations of yoga and the basic requirements to control the fluctuations of the mind and says : “Control over the mind’s fluctuations comes from persevering practice and non-attachment”. By persevering practice he means cultivating a practice everyday in any circumstances with patience and consistency of commitment. By non-attachment, he means observation, awareness, surrender and let go into clarity. The practice of yoga reminds us that life is paved with pain and ease, doubts and faith, resistance and acceptance.
Reflecting on my yoga journey during those past 5 years, I witnessed growth, strength, will and patience within and my life has never been as clear and peaceful. I deeply thank my master teacher Yogananth Andiappan for his guidance and the opportunity he offered me to get featured in the ASANA International Yoga Journal.
I thank all the masters for being in my yoga path and help me grow with wisdom and knowledge.
Namaste
