The Sufis and the yogis both share the same passion for surrender, understanding the secret of a fulfilled life: balance, yin and yang, sun and moon, giving and receiving. Giving is natural and understandable, receiving is awkward and uncomfortable. The Sufi poets invite us to look at the moon to understand the importance of receiving. When the moon is full, it is glowing and strong. The moon is fully illuminated, receiving sun rays and light. The full moon does not give light, it reflects light that was received.

The Moon of love reminds us to open our hearts without resistance to receive the endless energy of love and to reflect it back without resistance to the world. The sun giving and the moon receiving is one action.
