Have you experienced what is going in your mind when you are in silence mode? Can you hear something inside your head telling you what to like or dislike, what to do and not to do? Can you hear a talkative voice judging pretty much everyone and everything? How does your silence looks like? Is it loud and noisy? Did you know that listening to silence helps to discover ourselves? While reading my post, a voice in your head might say: “I am terrible at being quiet, silence makes me uncomfortable and anxious, I need to move, this is not for me”. Did you know that two minutes of silence can be more relaxing than listening to music? Studies have shown that few minutes of silence bring your mind in a state of calmness.
Meditation is an ancient silence practice that helps you notice that you are neither the cloudy thoughts nor the talkative voice. The mind becomes receptive to the ebb and flow of the activity of the brain without identifying itself. Small moments of awakening sparkle and the heart opens to an infinite space of calm, honesty and trust; the freedom of Self. What if in all situations you were to find silence around chaos and master the life you want to have and the person you want to be?
